Tools - Word Headers

A set of macros to simplify the use of heading styles in Word:

Sub StyleToHeading1()
Selection.Style = ActiveDocument.Styles("Heading 1")
End Sub

Sub StyleToHeading2()
Selection.Style = ActiveDocument.Styles("Heading 2")
End Sub

Sub StyleToHeading3()
Selection.Style = ActiveDocument.Styles("Heading 3")
End Sub

Sub StyleToHeading4()
Selection.Style = ActiveDocument.Styles("Heading 4")
End Sub

Sub StyleToHeading5()
Selection.Style = ActiveDocument.Styles("Heading 5")
End Sub

Assign these macros to ctrl-shift-[1-5] and keeping documents correctly formatted gets a lot simpler.

You can do this by using this run once macro:

Sub UpdateHeadingStyles()
'
' test Macro
' Macro recorded 9/7/2007 by Andrew B
'

CustomizationContext = NormalTemplate
Dim i As Integer
Dim keyCode As Integer

keyCode = 48
' 48 is the numeric value of the constant vbKey0. We will add one to this on each loop to get the appropriate key.

For i = 1 To 5
keyCode = keyCode + 1
KeyBindings.Add keyCode:=BuildKeyCode(keyCode, wdKeyControl, wdKeyShift), KeyCategory:=wdKeyCategoryMacro, Command:="StyleToHeading" & i
Next i
End Sub

Kipper and Roly... Dirty little bastards.

Kipper is the dog in this book ("Kipper and Roly" by Mike Inkpen) and Roly is the hamster.

The text says:

"Kipper got out some scissors and some tape and unrolled a role of wrapping paper. Roly ran into the cardboard tube and popped out the other end, making Kipper giggle. Then he slid all the way down the tube and rolled across the floor, making Kipper giggle again.

It gave Kipper an idea... A BIG idea."

Gaffer tape and vaseline comes to mind.

Training this week

Tuesday was a good session - covered about 10kms with a walk back to the office. Mostly jogging but a good, strong sprint at the end (about 750m)

Tan time last wednesday down to 17.43 so target readjusted to <16 minutes. Went out very slowly but did the last 850 odd metres in under 3 minutes.

No training thursday, friday and saturday.

Sunday was a big session - 5 x the nasty bastard hill in lakes entrance... Completely stuffed!

Tuesday was a recovery run... about 5-6kms.

Good things to snort

After reading about Keith Richards snorting his dad's ashes, I'm beginning to wonder what Pete Doherty's going to have to do to keep himself in the news. My tip? He'll remove part of his body (perhaps an ear?), dry it and then smoke it with some meth. That way, he'll be combining a drug reference, a rock reference AND an art reference...
